Namaste, my name is Jayesh. I started my Yoga journey in 1991, due to an illness. I was initially trained by Lilian Biggs a Senior Level Iyengar Yoga teacher. I continued my training in Birmingham with Jayne Orton along with many other Advanced and Senior Level Iyengar Yoga teachers in the UK and India.
Over the many years I continued my training and practice in Iyengar Yoga, covering application of Yoga for therapeutics, sports and pregnancy. I have a particular interest in integrating Yoga Philosophy in my teaching. I have trained on several occasions with the Iyengar family in Pune, India.
I obtained my Introductory Level teaching certificate in 1997, now certified to Senior Intermediate Level 1. I can offer a range of group or private classes tailored to your needs including Restorative, Pranayama and Remedial Yoga.
I have taught regular classes at David Lloyds Leeds for nearly 20 years and conducted International Yoga Day Events since 2015. I have also had the opportunity to teach children of all ages at Grammar School at Leeds and Wigton Moor Primary School.

Intermediate and Senior teachers have been practising and training for many more years and have passed a series of further assessments. All Iyengar Yoga teachers are required to maintain their professional development each year to qualify for continued use of the Mark.
